Mathijs van Geest is an artist and curator who’s works are often the result of small moments of non-alignment, non-compliance and a certain unwillingness taking place in everyday life.
With a background in graphic design, Mathijs van Geest studied art in Rotterdam and Bergen, Norway.
Mathijs van Geest was director of Hordaland kunstsenter, a regional art centre in Bergen, Norway and is currently director of KRAFT, an exhibition space specialised in craft practices.
